Beitou is famous for its hot spring and there are many hot spring resort, public hot spring bath in this area.
We recommend you to try it when you visit Taipei!
We chose this particular resort because the pricing is reasonable and they have private room as welL!

It is conveniently located like 5 minutes from Xinbeitou station.

There are many art galleries, cultural and creative stores, and exhibition here especially on weekends.
It is worth a visit if you like to see new exhibitions and creative stores~!

In the morning, we visited Taipei 101 area, and walk to this small village (四四南村) which was previously a residential area in Taipei for the military personnel.
Now, cafes and restaurants has taken over the houses and the place has been renovated and it is considered an instagrammable spot! You can see the Taipei 101 from this area as well.
We spent some time taking photos around the area before walking back to Taipei 101.

Since Lunar new Year is in mid January, the CNY market is already open early Jan.
We decided to visit the CNY market !
Before visiting, do check if the CNY market is open.
You can search for:
迪化街年货大街
The CNY market is not close to any MRT station, so we took a train to Daqiaotou MRT exit 2 and changed a bus.
The whole area was very crowded and the street are well decorated with the CNY's vibes.
Many street stalls are selling the Lunar new year goodies.

Walked towards the river, i think it is called the Tamsui riverside park area.
Opposite is the Sanchong district area.
This was our last night in Taipei.
It is not really touristy since we visited Taiwan many times, and would like to keep our itinerary light and enjoy what the locals really do with minimum tourist attractions.
Last but not least, i would like to share our expenses for our Taiwan trip in 2023.
